Read the laboratory Safety Manual and Chemical Hygiene Plan
& Sign that you have.
For Safety,
While in the lab
you are required to
•Wear you badge ID
• Wear a labcoat
•Wear closed toed shoes.
• No Crop Tops
• No Shorts
Required Training Specific to Experiments
Talk to PI about which to take
Working with Animals Requires:
ARC Certification:
• Take Citi training (3 years)
Take the UCLA course Animal Research basic course.
The HIPPA courses are particularly important if you are working with human subjects
• Medical health questionnaire
Notify your PI when you have completed these steps. Only then can the PI put your name on an active ARC protocol.
